Low‐complexity GNSS carrier leakage detection and estimation via abnormal direct current energy identification

Carrier leakage due to faults within the satellite payload results in a waste of transmit power and affects receiver functions. The existing methods are generally performed transform domain with high computation load unable estimate carrier power. This letter presents low-complexity algorithm by monitoring abnormal direct current component baseband signal. quantitative relationship between test statistics is derived here, capability estimation provided. Analytical simulation show that it achieves detection rate more than 99% for carrier-to-noise ratio larger 42 dB-Hz coherent integration time 10 ms. It also greatly saves millions multiplications compared conventional frequency-domain method.
